Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU), an $823 million credit union serving North Carolina's local government employees, elected officials, volunteers, and their families, is seeking accomplished candidates who will help us achieve our mission to improve the lives of our members.
Finance Manager
Primary responsibilities include performing a variety of complex finance tasks involved in preparing and generating accurate financial records. Specific areas of concentration include asset/liability management, fixed income investing, and budget preparation. Provides managerial oversight of the Credit Union's investments and Asset/Liability Management as outlined in CU's policies and procedures. Monitors Credit Union's cash position and manages short-term investments. Uses tact and experienced-based knowledge, researches and resolves more complex finance problems, explains specific policies and procedures.
Must have a B.S. in Business/Finance/Accounting. An MBA, previous investment, asset/liability management and credit union experience desirable. Prefer 5-7 years experience dealing with financial institution accounting and finance. Possess ability to educate non-financial professionals about financial reporting and investments. Expected to gain strong knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies and procedures. Minimum two years' previous supervisory experience of professional staff. Must possess exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
